Naomi Dennie

Naomi Dennie is an elementary school teacher on treaty 1 territory. As a new teacher, she brings a fresh perspective and passion for education to the Black History Manitoba Committee. Naomi integrates her skills into fostering an inclusive learning environment so that every child matters. 


Her commitment to promoting diversity and cultural awareness is evident in her two-year involvement with the Black History Manitoba Committee. Naomi actively contributes by coordinating events and collaborating with the Manitoba and Children's Museum to enhance educational programs. Her dedication has a profound impact on the youth programs of Black History Manitoba, inspiring a deeper appreciation for cultural heritage among the younger generation.


Naomi believes in the transformative power of education and strives to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of history, particularly Black history. Her commitment to the committee is fueled by the belief that education is a catalyst for positive societal change.
