Brian Archer

Mr. Brian Archer (now Pastor Dr. Brian Archer) has been, and continues to be an active member of the BHMCC from 2001 to present.  He joined the BHMCC as a representative of New Anointing Christian Fellowship (NACF) (formerly Berean Church of God).

Over the years Dr. Brian Archer has been called upon numerous times to be the keynote speaker at several of the BHM celebration and other community events.  He has also served in the capacity of Master of Ceremonies and contributor for several BHM events, including the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Church Service, the BHM Opening Ceremony, The BHM Heart, Spirit and Soul Community Concert, The BHM Closing and Award Ceremonies, and BHM Business Expo, seminars, and workshops.  For a few years he worked with Dr. Keith Sandiford to prepare BHM event feedback reports for BHM’s provincial and federal government funders.

Dr. Archer is still actively involved in the BHMCC event planning and is currently the chair of the BHM Opening Ceremony and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Church Service Sub-Committee.

Dr. Archer earned an Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Lakehead University, and his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the University of Manitoba.  He is presently the Manager of System Performance, System Operations at Manitoba Hydro.

Dr Archer is an ordained Pastor at NACF and is available to assist the community in any capacity when called on.  He believes that it is critical to look back and learn from our history to effectively move forward with confidence and impact.  He encourages others to invest in giving back and mentoring the younger generation as they will determine the eventual community growth and accomplishments from the seeds we, and others before us, have sown.

Dr. Archer has been happily married to Dr. Lois Stewart-Archer for over 33 years and they have two wonderful children, Michael and Daniella.
